Kite Making Day
We carried out a Junior School Technology Day based on Kite Making due to a Matariki festival being held in Lawrence. We posed a problem, we made a plan, we designed a prototype, we discussed the challenges and solutions. We grouped children into mixed level groups with a year 7/8 student as a leader and supervised each group in our classes.

During term two I worked with the LAS school chior. During these sessions we practiced the massed item songs that all schools had to learn and we also practiced our own song which Pauline Taylor and myself arranged a Beatles medley. We had had two rehearsals in Balclutha prior to this evening event.

Professional Learning Group - Cultural Responsiveness
On the 10th of June I attended a Cultural Responsive day in Cromwell with Jo and Elsa. Gemma ........? was our tutor. This day gave us all fantastic opportunities to discuss, question and reflect on our inquiry. It was also a nice way to liaise with the other teachers in regards to how their cultural responsive inquiry was going.
